Imagine giving your class a hands on experience where you participate along side the students in activities based on progression points set out in VELS, with pre and post activities provided for your special theme. An experience created from teachers for teachers.
Experiences
Students physically explore the term ‘minibeasts’ and investigate where they can be found in their natural environments; Pond, Bush Land and Soil.
Working in cooperative groups to classify, sort, categorise, predict and investigate, students explore various habitats of Minibeasts. Together with our Horticulturist, we plant a native garden for Minibeasts, giving students the skills to design and plant one back at school with our native tubestock. Our staff discuss the care which needs to be taken when closely investigating minibeasts and the role we play in their environments.

Hedgend’s team building ‘Challenge Your Mind’ Program expands and enhances student thinking and problem solving skills through cooperative and team building activities. We create an experience in the perfect environment to really think about thinking!
The students will participate in physical outcome based activities using our unique Hedgend Problem Solving Attractions, where we will provide a forum for them to extend their thinking, reflecting and discussing skills.
Our program provides the opportunity for inquiring minds to build on their existing knowledge and connect with the real world, both as an individual and as a team member. The task activities will be enriched by reflecting on their experiences of the day.
